It's kinda been a while since I gave updates. I've been having a rough time finding a sense of mental stability. Job apps are going out, networking is happening, research is moving forward. Gamedev is still the only thing I really wanna do, and I work on it literally every day.
...
Okay after reviewing things, I really have not updated much at all about this, huh. Well, here's just a purge slurry of updates:
Dialogue boxes were added into the game.
Comic pages were added into the game.
It's now possible to reposition your character. The game is more of a point and click adventure, so it's not strictly necessary, but it's nice.
Basic camera animations and turn scheduling was added to active battles.
Cooking has been added into the game, as well as a few more kinds of fish to grill.
Crafting has been changed from a raw material conversion into recipes to learn and unlock.
The UI of stations (forge, anvil, carpenter's table, cooktop, etc) have been changed to be more intuitive and accommodate recipes.
"Experimentation" has been added to stations, allowing players to try new combinations of materials to discover unique recipes.
Basic farmville-style farming has been added into the game.
Right now, I'm working on redesigning the active combat system.
